I Moved to Washington D.C.
It’s 7:50 am on a Sunday morning and I got up at 6:20 am because I went to bed really early last night so I’m naturally doing my laundry right now. Today is my cleaning day where I fold all my clothes that are in the dryer right now and finally put away the sheets and comforter which came with the room when I moved in but I never used since I obviously prefer my own bedding. Also, it’s apparently going to be raining today but I think I’ll still take a walk to Union Market and get myself a nice pastry like what’s the worst that can happen? My hair gets wet? I can deal with that.
Anyways, I moved to Washington D.C. in early February, which is wild to me because in all my musings about where the future would take me, DC has never been in the cards. I thought I would stay on the west coast or perhaps move to NYC or Boston; hell, I’d even have thought I’d move to the South or Midwest before DC but for better or worse, I’m here now. And, I haven’t written a newsletter in a while but I hate focusing on specific pieces when I write so I’m going to keep this newsletter relatively stream of consciousness.
I’ve always been super into politics though so maybe it’s not a huge surprise that I ended up in D.C. In the words of some random Tumblr user, I am “an eminent blogger of the Tumblr DNC,” which is funny because like I’ve said many times before, the DNC is historically speaking, incompetent, and not some all-seeing liberal cabal which plots to make leftists cry. And I’d like to think I’m competent if nothing else.
I will try to write more but for now, this boring newsletter has to do because I have some laundry to pick up and some reading to do.
